Summary of Position
HMT LLC is currently seeking a talented drafter / Intern to join our Products Engineering Department. This person will be responsible for detailing various mechanical components and assemblies for above-ground storage tanks in the oil, gas, and chemical industries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce drawings and clarifications as needed to support shop fabrication and field construction. (weldments, assemblies, etc.)
- Maintain drawings and other engineering documents through checking, approval, and release cycle.
- Maintain file systems for electronic CAD files.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials.
- Work as part of a team on Tank Product projects.
- Maintain engineering revisions and distribution of drawings and updates.
Qualification & Education:
- Preferred / Minimum Education: Associates-level degree and/or AutoCAD Certification.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Relevant experience: Above Ground Storage Tank, Structural drafting
