Under the leadership of the HSE Manager, the HSE Representative will support operations in implementing HSE programs. The incumbent will work closely with the HSE Manager in partnering with operations to pursue our objectives, targets and overall goal of reaching beyond zero.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Conduct and document HSE Self-Assessments for shops and project sites in the designated region

· Complete Safety Observation Cards using the Safety Awareness Program

· Identify and assign Corrective Actions

· Perform Incident Investigations and Report on Investigation Findings

· Assure that all work is performed in compliance with HMT and customer requirements

· Assist operations in obtaining required safety equipment and safety supplies

· Assist in accident/incident investigations and reporting

· Coordinate, conduct or facilitate Health & Safety training activities and safety meetings

· Report unsafe situation and behaviors though the HMT Observation program and recommend corrective actions

· Counsel and advise all HMT employees and subcontractors in acceptable safety and training performance and practices

· Perform safety risk assessments and support JSA completion

· Manage and enforce health, safety, and environmental requirements of job sites

Qualifications & Education

· Education: GED/Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred

· 3 years of experience in the field of HSE

· OSHA knowledgeable; TWIC Card

· Able to work independently without supervision

· Good written and verbal communications skills

· Able to lead a group discussion or a team if needed

· Able to work with technology and online fillable forms

· Focused and able to deliver on time

· Must be a self-starter and committed individual

Work Environment

This position may work in various locations within the U.S. Some locations may be subject to extreme temperatures, working in high places, etc. Potential for exposure to temperature changes, wetness, confined spaces, fumes/odors, working with ladders/scaffolds, working with pressurized equipment, working at heights, hazardous materials, and working alone. HMT will supply adequate training and equipment to meet the functions of the job. The position will require the use of respiratory protection and the ability to pass a respirator fit test.
