The Rope Access Technician (Level I) will perform and/or assist NDT Technicians in performing non-destructive Testing of materials. Part Time with potential to go Full Time based on business needs. The successful candidates must be willing to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
Job Duties:
• Set up and calibrate NDT equipment under the supervision of the Certified Technician.
• Assist or perform, NDT Technicians in performing required inspection.
• Assist or perform, Radiographers in performing radiography of Piping and Equipment.
• Assist or perform, with proper documentation and reporting of inspection results. • Become familiar with required codes and procedures to carry out testing.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Experience:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License and pre-access drug and alcohol testing required.
• Valid TWIC card required.
• Pre-employment background checks will be required.
• Current SPRAT and/or IRATA certification required.
• 40hr Radiation Safety Training required.
• Radiographer state card will be considered an asset.
• NDT training and experience will be considered an asset.
• NCCER Insulator certifications will be considered an asset.
Physical Requirements:
• Move, carry, and lift objects 50 lbs. or more.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, reach, and climb.
• Must be able to demonstrate all skills and knowledge required of Rope Access Level I Technician.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
