Job Description:
The FP&A Analyst will support the Finance leadership team in providing timely and actionable data to key stakeholders at HMT. This individual will play a key role in supporting our monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process, including budgeting and forecasting. They will be responsible for reporting on KPIs and assist with ad hoc requests as needed. We are looking for an FP&A professional with a focus on timely, accurate financial and operational reporting, a highly analytical individual with expert-level Excel skills, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and apply financial analysis techniques including but not limited to variance analysis, statistical analysis, and scenario analysis to projects and decisions as requested by management
• Respond to questions regarding finance and accounting issues by possessing a working knowledge of finance and accounting activities and the transactions that form the basis of financial results
• Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial and non-financial information and recommend actions
• Recommend changes, updates, and processes for continuous improvement in areas of expertise
• Manage and conduct special and ad hoc reporting and analysis
• Assist monthly/quarterly reporting of financial results and analyze against key financial metrics
• Work in a challenging, fast paced environment, be a results-minded team member who possesses excellent self-initiative and multi-tasking skills, be able to provide analytical support while under critical deadlines, and support process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Required
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office with emphasis on MS Excel
• Experience with financial software and data visualization tools including Soloman ERP, VENA and Power BI is a plus
• Strong understanding of financial statements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in interacting across multiple departments and various levels of the organization
• Ideal candidate will excel at ensuring accuracy, taking initiative, and working independently in a dynamic workplace
