Overview
The project lead is the primary point of contact between the engineering department project team and the PM and Production Control. It is their responsibility to communicate project schedules, assure drawing accuracy, adherence to project scope and specifications, and updating of the POS.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Works on projects with assigned design engineer to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Performing high-level checking of work by lower level drafters
- Applies industry and company standards in preparation and review of drawings, details, and diagrams
- Prepares fabrication and manufacturing drawings and assist PM and project engineer with any issues related to drawings
- Assists project/design engineers and project leads with problems requiring advanced understanding of layout and drafting
- Assists with project/design engineer, project lead, client and/or official contacts pertaining to specific assignments
- Maintain and update all assigned projects on the Engineering Schedule
Education Requirement:
- Min – High School equivalency
Prior Experience:
The applicant for the Project Lead should have minimum 3-5 years of experience in drafting and detailing in the tank or related industry and should be familiar with specific HMT product lines and drafting standards.
