Job Summary:
As a Design Engineer in the tank industry, you will be responsible for designing and developing storage tanks and related equipment used in industries such as oil & gas, chemicals, water treatment, and more. This role involves working with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and utilizing engineering software to create detailed designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development: Develop detailed designs for tanks and related products based on client requirements and industry standards.
CAD Modelling: Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) to create 2D and 3D models of tanks and associated systems.
Material Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate materials to ensure structural integrity, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure that designs adhere to industry standards, such as API, OSHA, and ISO, and local regulations regarding storage tanks and safety protocols.
Structural Analysis: Perform stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and other engineering simulations to validate the designs.
Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing teams, project managers, and clients to ensure designs meet technical requirements, production feasibility, and budget constraints.
Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOM) for manufacturing and assembly.
Problem-Solving: Address design issues that arise during the manufacturing and installation phases, providing engineering support for troubleshooting.
Innovation: Continuously look for ways to improve designs, reduce costs, and enhance product performance through innovative approaches.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in designing tanks or similar industrial equipment.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
Knowledge of industry standards such as API 650, API 653, API 620.
Strong understanding of material properties, welding processes, and fabrication methods.
Experience with FEA software (e.g., ANSYS) for structural and stress analysis.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work in a team-oriented environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional Engineering (PE) license.
Experience with project management.
Familiarity with industry-specific software for tank design
